Junior tight ends don't usually leave college early for the NFL draft unless they're certain to be early picks, but it never hurts to throw your name into the ring and see what happens. At least, that's the attitude of Auburn Tigers tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen, who has requested an evaluation from the NFL before the 2012 draft. Said Lutzenkirchen:

Auburn Tigers tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen has requested an evaluation from the NFL ahead of the 2012 NFL Draft.
“I’m just kind of focused on this (bowl game) and then I’ll see...It’s a no-lose situation. It will be a good decision either way.”
Lutzenkirchen had 23 receptions and 238 receiving yards, both good for third on the team. His seven touchdowns were a Tigers record for a tight end in one season, and his 14 touchdowns are a career record for an Auburn tight end.
