2011 NFL Combine Schedule: NFL Draft Prospects Start To Arrive
The arrivals are staggered so that more position groups arrive daily until Saturday.
What are the players doing today? Not a whole lot.
According to the schedule, they’ll be traveling to Indianapolis Wednesday and registering with Combine officials upon arrival. They’ll have medical exams and x-rays to ensure that nothing is medically wrong with the players and this could end up being important information for the team for players that have been injured.
From there they’ll go through an orientation with the Combine folks explaining the process of the entire week.
Finaly, players will meet with NFL teams for interviews in the evening. Teams enter the Combine with a list of players they want to interview, and then Combine officials coordinate those interviews. They’re supposed to last about 15 minutes apiece and it gives teams a few minutes to get to know the player better, which is a more difficult task with agents and other people coaching up the prospects so that they answer it the right way.
So the first day at the Combine won’t include any working out.
