2011 NFL Combine News: Stephen Paea’s Record, Patrick Peterson, Prince Amukamara And Nick Fairley

-Oregon State’s Stephen Paea sets NFL Combine record with 49 bench press reps of 225 pounds. Before the draft, several draft analysts predicted he would do a number on the bench press and that’s what he did as he set a Combine record with 49. His response to breaking the record? “I think I can go back and do another one.”
-Top two corners battle it out. The top corner in the draft is CB Patrick Peterson and he’s followed by CB Prince Amukamara. Peterson is expected to go before Amukamara, perhaps as high as the top five. Amukamara spoke over the weekend and, according to Mocking The Draft, confidently said he thought he was the better corner compared to Peterson. All that matters is the NFL teams and it only takes one to take Amukamara over Peterson.
-DT Nick Fairley spoke over the weekend defending his play, which some have said is dirty, and talking about where he may go in the draft. He said he’s ready to be the top pick by the Panthers but hasn’t scheduled a meeting with them. He “most likely” has a meeting with Buffalo.
