2011 NFL Mock Draft: Cincinnati Bengals Select WR A.J. Green

SB Nation’s 2011 NFL mock draft rolls on with the Cincinnati Bengals and the fourth pick. Making the selection is Cincy Jungle and the big winner is Georgia WR A.J. Green.

I like the player and I like the pick but I’m not sure it’s the best pick. Right now, it appears the Bengals won’t have QB Carson Palmer in 2011. He has threatened to hold out the season if he’s not traded or released and if he follows through on that -- many expect him to -- that would leave a gaping hole at quarterback.

So I like Green and it’s hard to argue that he wouldn’t help the Bengals, who may lose WR Chad Ochocinco before the season starts. But I think they could have gone another direction.

Mocking The Draft has a similar thought process as me. Green is definitely worthy of the fourth overall pick but you have to find out who will throw to him.

Check out Cincy Jungle’s full explanation of the pick at Mocking The Draft.
