NFL Draft 2011: Ryan Mallett’s Agent Disputes ‘Night On The Town’ Report

Among the quarterbacks in the 2011 NFL Draft, Ryan Mallett would probably be the first you’d pick if asked to name the one most likely to miss a team meeting due to carousin’. So it didn’t come as a surprise when a report broke Wednesday that Mallett had skipped a meeting with the Carolina Panthers after being spotted prowling Charlotte late the night before.

However! It will also not surprise you that Mallett’s agent is denying the report, saying his client was “in his hotel room by about 10 o’clock” and that “I know for sure” he wasn’t out late. The Arkansas giant was not just sick, but “really, really sick,” according to his agent.

Character concerns are becoming a routine thing with Mallett, leading one to wonder what the modern NFL team would’ve made of Joe Namath.
