Every year in the weeks and months leading up to the 2011 NFL draft teams are allowed to bring into their facility up to 30 players. This isn’t a traditional workout where the players will run and jump. Instead, it’s a chance for the team to get to know the player and, if needed, look at some other off-the-field tests.
2011 NFL Draft Visits Ending Wednesday Night
Those visits will be ending soon, according to Adam Caplan of FOXSports.com.
Wednesday is the final draft for player visits, multiple NFL sources told FOXSports.com. All visits have to be completed by 12:00 a.m. ET. The rule is that all player visits must be completed by one week in advance of the NFL Draft.
Visits are always a source of conversation with football fans leading up to the draft. If your team brings in a player, fans get excited (or upset). The truth is that not all the players that visit a particular team a true draft target of that team. Sometimes teams will leak information on a player visiting to make other teams think they’re interested in that player.
So visits are fun to talk about -- even if they don’t mean anything.
