NFL Draft 2011: Predictions On Cleveland Browns Draft Picks

The Cleveland Browns are drafting sixth in the 2011 NFL draft and there are a number of positions they can address including defensive tackle, linebacker and receiver. The majority of folks seem to be predicting receiver for the Browns which makes a lot of sense given there's a young quarterback in QB Colt McCoy.

Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer believes she has a list of four players the Browns could be considering: DT Marcell Dareus, LB Von Miller, CB Patrick Peterson, WR A.J. Green, CB Prince Amukamara or OT Tyron Smith.

The surprise there would be Smith as there’s no buzz for him to the Browns.

Cabot also predicts that, given the right opportunity, the Browns would like to trade back.

I think the Browns would love to trade out of the No. 6 pick to bolster their roster. They need several quality players more than one superstar. But it would all depend on how far back and what they'd get in return. They're talking to teams already and will be all ears tomorrow.

Lots of teams would like to trade back but not many teams are willing to pay the price to move up so it could be a difficult task for the Browns to move around. If one of the top receivers are on the board, or maybe even QB Blaine Gabbert, I could see someone trading up.

It’s just a matter of identifying a trade partner. If we’re to believe the rumors floating around, that partner would be the Patriots.
