NFL Draft Trade: Redskins, Jaguars Deal For Blaine Gabbert Pick

The Jacksonville Jaguars wanted a quarterback in the 2011 NFL Draft, and after a Jake Locker pick at No. 8 threw off everything, they needed to make a move to get Blaine Gabbert. The Jags sent their No. 16 and No. 49 2011 picks to the Washington Redskins to get the chance to select their future signal-caller.

David Garrard played well for Jacksonville in 2010, but apparently the Jags are thinking ahead. It's not like the Redskins to trade down and pick up more picks, but we'll see what Daniel Snyder has up his sleeve. Maybe the lockout done the Skins some good?

We’ll find out in just a minute what they’ll pick with that first-rounder that used to belong to Jacksonville.

As the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft rolls on, SB Nation has everything you need to keep up with it: news, rumors, player profiles, scouting reports, the full NFL draft schedule, NFL mock drafts, draft projections and more. Check it all out at SB Nation's NFL Draft hub and our NFL Draft blog Mocking the Draft.
