NFL Draft Trade Rumors: Oakland Raiders Looking To Move Up

The Oakland Raiders did not have a first round pick in the 2011 NFL draft after trading it away for DE Richard Seymour. So that leaves them with the 48th overall pick as their first opportunity to upgrade their roster.

That is, unless they trade up in the draft. Several reports on Thursday indicated that the Raiders were trying to get back into the first round. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that, now that we’re in the second round, the Raiders are still trying to move up.

They're at No. 48 now and it's unclear where they're trying to get to. The most obvious prediction would be moving up to select a quarterback. Even though they have QB Jason Campbell, the Raiders could be eyeing one of the remaining quarterbacks such as QB Ryan Mallett, QB Andy Dalton or QB Colin Kaepernick.

Keep an eye on the Raiders. If they don’t get their quarterback, history says they’ll be looking for the fastest player on the board.
