2011 NFL Draft Results: Patriots Add To Secondary, Giants Pick Up Running Back

The 2011 NFL draft continues on in the seventh round. Here’s a round up of picks 219-223:

219. New England Patriots select DB Malcolm Williams. Out of TCU, Williams becomes the latest member of the Patriots secondary. A lot of these late round guys on the Pats will have a shot to make it on special teams.

220. Dallas Cowboys select RB Shaun Chapas. The Cowboys get a 6'2", 247-pound linebacker who has played against high competition in the SEC. Chapas comes out of Georgia.

221. New York Giants select Da'Rel Scott. The Giants always seem to have productive running backs so it'll be interesting to see how he does. Scott is 5'11", weighs 211 pounds and comes out of Maryland.

222. Tampa Bay Buccaneers select DB Anthony Gaiter. These late round guys are looking to make the team via special teams.

223. Kansas City Chiefs select RB Shane Bannon. The Chiefs are eventually looking for a replacement for RB Thomas Jones so Bannon will get a shot to make his mark.

Rounds 4 through 7 of the NFL Draft all take place on Saturday afternoon. Stay tuned to this StoryStream for live draft results.
