Bad news from the Nation's Capital this morning. Washington Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau announced that forward Eric Fehr will miss three-to-four weeks after a scary collision in Friday night's game against Vancouver.
Capitals Lose Eric Fehr For Three To Four Weeks With Shoulder Injury
Fehr collided with teammate and human wrecking ball David Steckel around the midpoint of the third period in the Caps' 4-2 loss to the Canucks. He left the ice and didn't return to the game with what the team called an upper-body injury.
Katie Carrera at the Washington Post has more:
It’s a bad break for both player and team as Fehr, who had five points in six games heading into the contest with the Canucks, recently found his confidence and had been steadily creating offense in recent outings at a time when Washington is struggling to score goals.
The Capitals will recall a body from Hershey of the AHL to take Fehr’s place. Be sure to check in with SB Nation DC and Japers’ Rink for more.
