St. John’s Over No. 9 Notre Dame 72-54 In Revenge Game

Just over a week after getting blown out by 15 points against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the St. John's Red Storm have evened the score with a 72-54 takedown of the No. 9 Irish. Though, of course, the Irish won't be No. 9 for very much longer, having dropped their last two games, both to unranked teams, by a combined score of 151-111. That run of wins over top-10 teams feels like a long time ago right now.

11-5 St. John's was led by D.J. Kennedy's 14 points and eight rebounds, with Dwight Hardy adding 12 points, four boards, and four assists. Ben Hansbrough led the Irish, with 18 points, four rebounds, and two assists.

The Red Storm get the Louisville Cardinals next, while the 14-4 Irish draw the Cincinnati Bearcats. St. John's is making some noise in the Big East, up to 4-2 now in the conference.
