Bulls Vs. Grizzlies: Chicago Looks For MLK Day Win Without Carlos Boozer

The Chicago Bulls keep chugging along, posting a 27-13 record despite injuries to Carlos Boozer to start the season and Joakim Noah for the last few weeks. Now, they'll have to play without either player. The Bulls travel to Memphis to face the Grizzlies in an MLK Day afternoon game, and Boozer and Noah will both be out of the lineup.

Boozer isn't playing because he suffered an ankle injury in the Bulls' win over the Miami Heat on Saturday night. He sprained the ankle on the game-winning three-pointer by Kyle Korver, and will miss at least this game and possibly more. In his absence, Taj Gibson will start at power forward, with Kurt Thomas continuing to start for Noah.

The lack of frontcourt depth is a problem against a Grizzlies team with a strong frontcourt. Zach Randolph is having another excellent season, and Marc Gasol has picked it up after a slow start. Small forward Rudy Gay may also be the best all-around player on the team, and he'll be a tough matchup on the wing. The Grizzlies are 19-21, but they have a tendency to get up for good teams. They blew out the Mavericks on Saturday night, and have also beaten the Heat, Lakers (twice), Jazz and Thunder this season.

The game will take place at 1 p.m. on ESPN. For more on the game, check out Blog a Bull and SB Nation Chicago.
