Jordan Todman Declares For 2011 NFL Draft After Fiesta Bowl Loss

In the immediate aftermath of the Connecticut Huskies 48-20 loss to the Oklahoma Sooners in the Fiesta Bowl, UConn running back Jordan Todman declared for the 2011 NFL Draft. In the Fiesta Bowl, Todman rushed for 122 yards on 32 carries and was the only bright spot for a struggling UConn offense.

Todman rushed for 1,574 yards and 14 touchdowns during the 2010 season, taking home the Big East Offensive Player of the Year award for his efforts. After being named to the 2009 All-Big East Second Team, Todman was named to the All-Big East First Team in 2010. In his three years at UConn, Todman ran for 3,058 yards and 31 touchdowns.

SB Nation’s Mocking The Draft lists Todman at the 91st ranked prospect in the 2011 draft and projects him as a 1st-3rd round draft pick. He joins Cal running back Shane Vereen, who also declared on Saturday, as an early-entry in the 2011 NFL Draft.
