Sunday Morning Bloody Mary: Shrine Game links to click

It’s hard to really gauge anything in college football all-star games. As such, you can’t really take a whole lot away from Saturday’s East-West Shrine Game.

Teams couldn’t blitz, had to run a 4-3 and be in either a cover-1 or cover-3 secondary. It’s about as bland as bland can be.

Still, a couple players shined and a bunch of draftniks wrote about it. Find each after the jump.

As anticipated, Syracuse running back

Delone Carter

had a good game with 54 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. He also had a reception. Carter’s first carry, a 16-yard touchdown run showed his solid burst to the outside.

North Carolina defensive tackle Marvin Austin may not have had his name called, but he was a factor for the East side. For someone who hasn't played football in more than a year, he was in surprisingly good shape and forced multiple blockers a few times.

Idaho's Shiloh Keo likely earned himself a roster spot as a special teams player and backup strong safety.
