Here are 10 players I'm the most interested in following this week:
Cameron Jordan | DE | California
With ends Cameron Heyward and Adrian Clayborn out, no player can make a bigger name for himself this week than Jordan. If he can show off his combination of power and athleticism, Jordan could raise his stock to a top 10 level.
Andy Dalton | QB | TCU
It seems draftniks far and wide are in love with Dalton. While I think he's a solid quarterback – and certainly a winner – there's no area of his game that is stellar. To me, he's a good backup with some developmental potential.
Allen Bailey | DE/DT | Miami
Bailey is somewhat of an enigma. He's excellent as a blitzer, but only out of the defensive tackle spot. However, at 285 pounds, Bailey may not have the size to player tackle in the pros. Bailey is a good 3-4 end prospect, but will need to show he can anchor.
10 intriguing players in the 2011 Senior Bowl
| OLB | Texas A&M
This is a personal choice, to be honest. Most seem to love Miller. In fact, he was the South’s media representative after players checked in, so he’s highly considered. But what exactly can he do besides speed rush? This week will be big for Miller.
| CB | Virginia
Dowling missed the whole season and is now being discounted by many. But before the year started, he was considered in the same breath with
as the top senior cornerbacks in the nation.
| CB | Colorado
Brown’s more highly regarded teammate
isn’t playing in this game, so Brown can show if he’s just as good with a solid week of workouts. Brown isn’t as physical as Smith, but he’s quick and has decent ball skills.
| G | Florida State
At just under 290 pounds, some don’t think Hudson has the bulk to placard in the NFL. We’ll find out if the paid professionals think the same if he’s lined up at center this week. If he isn’t, Hudson will have o display his athleticism to secure his spot in the second round.
| WR | TCU
Kerley might be the best special teams player in this game. In a week where big plays get a lot of notice, Kerley has a chance to stand out. Could he be this year’s
?
| CB | Utah State
It’s unlikely man scouts ventured out to Logan to see Utah State. If they didn’t, they missed a solid big corner with athleticism. Marsh is a player who could rapidly rise up draft boards this week. Right now he’s probably considered a fifth- or sixth-round prospect. With a good week, he may go as early as the fourth round.
| LB | Oregon
Matthews is rising as a prospect based on his performance toward the end of his senior season. Having arguably the best defensive player in the NFL as a brother doesn’t hurt either. During practices, Matthews has to show he can quickly digest plays and display high effort. Do that and Matthews could solidify at least a spot in the third round.
