Tim Duncan Injury Knocks Spurs’ Titan Out Of Warriors Game Early

Tim Duncan left the San Antonio Spurs' Monday night game against the Golden State Warriors with an apparently knee injury in the second quarter. Duncan's left leg buckled beneath him, and the Spurs' legend left the court under his own power but with some assistance. Duncan first went to the bench, but quickly walked to the locker room.

It is not yet clear how serious Duncan's injury is. Once Duncan left the game, the Spurs opened up a seven-point lead. San Antonio led Golden State 62-55 at halftime. Manu Ginobili had 14 points in the first half.

The Spurs have been remarkably healthy this season, with all five opening night starters including Duncan having played in all 44 games through Monday. In recent years, Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili have all missed stretches of games due to injuries. The Spurs, a league-best 37-7 heading into Monday's game, are one of the league's oldest teams.
