Bobcats Vs. Kings: Pathetic Sacramento Offense Pushes Charlotte To Road Win

There are serious problems with the Sacramento Kings' offense, and those were on display as the Charlotte Bobcats waltzed in and out of ARCO Arena with a 94-89 victory. The Bobcats opened up 14-point first half lead as the Kings managed to score just 44 points by halftime. Sacramento shot 36 percent from the floor, hit one three-pointer all night, and failed to punish the Bobcats for allowing 16 offensive rebounds.

If you ignore his poor shooting, Tyreke Evans had a good game. Evans hit the Kings' only three, but was just 6-18 from the floor 19 points. He added eight rebounds, five assists and just one turnover in 40 minutes; again, that's solid output. But the shooting hurts, badly. The Kings' two centers, DeMarcus Cousins and Samuel Dalembert, shot a combined 4-14. That hurts. Donte Greene took 10 field goal attempts and three free throws in 15 minutes off the bench. When you only turn that into eight points? That hurts.

Charlotte got an efficient 21 points from Stephen Jackson, and 19 from Gerald Wallace. In the first NBA city that chanted his name, Crash threw this highlight on the Kings:

Dunk contest 2002, we will never forget.

The Kings have won two straight just twice this season. The Spurs, by comparison, have won at least eight games in a row three separate times.
