Florida cornerback Janoris Jenkins joins a host of players declaring for the 2011 NFL Draft today, electing to forgo his senior year in Gainesville. With the deadline for early entries approaching, on Jan. 15, underclassmen that are likely to go in the first round are declaring in waves and Jenkins is no exception. In SB Nation's latest NFL mock draft, Jenkins is projected to be the No. 13 pick in the draft, heading to the Detroit Lions.

Jenkins finished the the 2010 season with 44 tackles, 5.5 of which were for a loss, and one sack. Roaming the Gators’ secondary, he also snagged three touchdowns, including one returned for a touchdown.
Listed as the No. 13 prospect in Mocking the Draft’s latest top-200, Jenkins is currently the second best cornerback on the board. The NFL Draft takes place between April 28 and April 30th.
