The No. 1 team in the nation got a scare Sunday night from a familiar nemesis. In the end, however, they will remain the No. 1 team in the nation. Kyle Singler recorded a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds, as the top-ranked Duke Blue Devils remained unbeaten with a 71-64 victory over the Maryland Terrapins.

Nolan Smith added 18 points, eight assists and six rebounds for the Blue Devils (15-0, 2-0 ACC), who are off to a 15-0 start for the fifth time in school history.
Seth Curry donated 12 points off the bench for Duke, which has now won 25 straight contests. The Blue Devils also extended their homecourt winning streak to 29 games.
Jordan Williams had 23 points and 13 boards to pace the Terrapins (10-5, 0-2), who had won three in a row coming in. Cliff Tucker chipped in with 14 points and seven rebounds.
