Cardinals vs. Brewers, NLCS Game 4 Preview: Time, TV Schedule, Lineups And More

The Brewers will try to even the NLCS at 2-2 in St. Louis Thursday night after falling victim to Albert Pujols and the St. Louis bullpen in Game 3.

The St. Louis Cardinals suddenly find themselves in the driver's seat of the NLCS after back-to-back, adrenaline-pumping wins over their division rivals, the Milwaukee Brewers. After stealing a game in Milwaukee, the Cardinals rode the bat of (who else?) Albert Pujols to race out to a 4-0 first-inning lead, holding on to win 4-3.

After a season of bullpen issues and LaRussa-caused late-game meltdowns, the Cardinals bullpen has turned into the second-most dominant force in the NLDS, powered primarily by the massive arm of closer Jason Motte. Motte procured the last four outs of Game 3 in dominating fashion (three strikeouts) to finish off four no-hit innings of bullpen work.

In Game 4, the Brewers turn to wily lefty Randy Wolf to try to even the series and regain home field advantage. He was less than stellar in his lone start in the NLDS, but all he really needs to do is get out Albert Pujols and the rest of the dominoes should fall. Pujols has been nothing short of inspirational in the first three games, even for him. He's batting .636 with six RBI and a homer.

Game Date/Time: October 13, 8:05 p.m. EDT

Stadium: Busch Stadium, St. Louis, Missouri

TV: TBS

Projected Starters

Milwaukee Brewers: Randy Wolf (13-10, 3.69 ERA)
