Milton Bradley's major league baseball career appears to be over; he was released by the Seattle Mariners in May and the three-year deal he signed with the Chicago Cubs before the 2009 season expires at the end of this year.
Report: Milton Bradley’s Wife Files For Restraining Order
In September, he was arrested for making threats to a woman (later identified as his wife Monique) at their home. Now, according to TMZ.com, Monique Bradley has filed for a restraining order against Milton:
In the docs, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Monique claims Bradley has been “emotionally and physically abusive” throughout their marriage ... but she would often take him back because “I genuinely believed that one day I could fix him.”
Now, Monique says the September incident was the last straw ... claiming, “I am very fearful that he will ... try to harm or even kill me.“Other incidents detailing similar threats were detailed in the TMZ article, which says that Monique Bradley has a temporary restraining order, but wants a permanent one. Another court hearing in the matter is scheduled for Oct. 25.
