If you were going to rank the Texas Rangers' starting pitchers during the regular season, you'd probably go like this:
Rangers Set World Series Rotation; Derek Holland Demoted

1. C.J. Wilson
2. Matt Harrison
3. Alex Ogando
4. Derek Holland
5. Colby Lewis
One thing that made the Rangers so good this season: Lewis was the worst of them, and he was actually pretty good.
With Ogando dispatched to the bullpen, here’s how they’ve lined up during the postseason:
1. C.J. Wilson
2. Derek Holland
3. Colby Lewis
4. Matt Harrison
Well, that’s changed, with Holland struggling in both of his ALCS starts. It’s changed a lot. Here’s the presumed World Series, according to the latest:
1. C.J. Wilson
2. Colby Lewis
3. Matt Harrison
4. Derek Holland
So Holland’s obviously been demoted, to the point that he can’t start twice, and will see action more than once only if the Rangers are desperate for an inning in Game 7.
I don't have a problem with any of this, as Harrison and Holland seem mostly interchangeable. The one thing that would worry me is Colby Lewis's propensity for giving up home runs, at least this season when he gave up 36 (and three more in a dozen postseason innings).
