The St. Louis Rams came into the game short handed and without starting quarterback Sam Bradford, but that's no excuse for Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray doing whatever he wanted to the Rams defense. Murray hit the ground running, ripping off a 91-yard touchdown run to put the Cowboys up an early 7-0 lead.

Murray didn't stop with just the 91-yard run, he wound up breaking Emmitt Smith's single-game rushing record. Murray ended the day with 253 rushing yards on 25 carries with one rushing touchdown. The Cowboys offense as a whole had an easy go of it, as Tony Romo wasn't asked to do a whole lot. Romo still passed for 166 yards and two touchdowns, hitting wide receiver Dez Bryant and tight end Jason Witten on touchdown passes.

The Rams offense was nearly as poor as their rush defense. The Cowboys loaded up and limited Steven Jackson to just 70 rushing yards while back up quarterback A.J. Feeley threw for 196 yards, including an interception. Jackson rushed for a touchdown in the second quarter, looking like the Rams would make a game of it down only 14-7, but then the Cowboys rattled off 20 unanswered points to hand the Rams their sixth straight loss.
