The New Orleans Saints are coming off of a thrashing of the hapless Colts, but once again get to face another winless team with defensive issues. Not only is the Saints high powered offense led by Drew Brees facing a Rams defense that gives up points in bunches, it's facing a Rams offense without starting quarterback Sam Bradford.
Saints Vs. Rams: TV Schedule, Game Time Announcers And More
Without quarterback Sam Bradford, a struggling Rams team will host the New Orleans Saints, who are coming off a 62-7 thrashing of the Colts.
"We played with a lot of confidence," Drew Brees said. "We needed a win like this, especially after the past week and everything we've gone through." Confidently, Brees threw for over 300 yards in the air and 5 passing touchdowns against the Colts. The only team who ranks lower in points given up than the Colts is the St. Louis Rams.
Offensively, the Rams will once again trot out A.J. Feeley as Bradford is still dealing with an ankle injury. Feeley got the start in last weeks 34-7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but failed to get the offense moving. "For whatever reason, this keeps being the same old story," Rams running back Steven Jackson said about the sputtering offense. The Rams rank dead last in the NFL in points scored, and going against a Saints offensive juggernaught, they'll need to score touchdowns to even have a chance.
