Kansas State/Missouri NFL Draft watch notes

Step aside Robert Griffin, Kansas State junior linebacker Arthur Brown just may be the most interesting NFL Draft prospect in the world. Kansas State matched the Baylor quarterback's speed with Brown's speed last week and it was one of the keys to the Wildcats' upset. What Zach Brown developed into last year for North Carolina, Brown is this year for K-State.

Wildcats senior free safety Tysyn Hartman is strong against the run, and is at his best near the line of scrimmage. He's average when asked to drop in coverage, but is a strong tackler.

With the athletic James Franklin at quarterback, the role of Missouri tight end Michael Egnew has been lessened this season. Egnew has only eight receptions this season and 97 yards. While he's not a superstar tight end prospect, he's better than two catches per game.

Most of Missouri’s passes go to junior wide receiver

T.J. Moe

. He’s like a lesser version of

Ryan Broyles

of Oklahoma. He catches passes in bunches but isn’t a game breaker wide receiver.
Injuries have halted the progress of Missouri defensive end

Jacquies Smith

this season, but he returned last week against Oklahoma. He struggled some, but should do much better today. He’s a budding pass rush prospect but needs to turn it on the remainder of his senior season.
Junior

Brad Madison

has been Missouri’s best pass rusher this season and is a solid prospect. He’s finally starting this season, and has six tackles for loss and three sacks on the season.
