Two more Miami Hurricanes enter 2012 NFL Draft

Maybe that Penn State job wouldn’t look so bad for Miami head coach Al Golden. Joking, joking. The Hurricanes head coach has to be feeling uncomfortable of late as two more Miami underclassmen will enter the 2012 NFL Draft.

The Miami Herald reports that offensive lineman Brandon Washington and defensive end Olivier Vernon have decided to forgo their senior seasons. In November, Washington announced he'd be back for his senior season.

For Miami, that's five junior who have decided to go pro early. It's six if you include wide receiver Aldarius Johnson, who suspended all season, but had a year of eligibility remaining and never redshirted.

Washington played at left tackle this season, mostly due to injuries on the offensive line. He struggled at times and projects much better to guard, where he played in 2010. Vernon is a player who never quite lived up to high school hype. After being suspended early in the year, he finished the season with just a sack and a half. He projects to the later rounds or UDFA status. Washington should get taken in the first 100 picks of the draft.
