NFL Scores Week 13: Rams Vs. 49ers, San Francisco Clinches NFC West With Easy Win Over St. Louis

The San Francisco 49ers had no trouble dispatching the St. Louis Rams. The win clinches the NFC West title for the 49ers.

The San Francisco 49ers are the 2011 NFC West champions. With four games left to play, the 49ers mathematically wrapped up their ownership of the worst division in the NFL with a shutout of the hapless St. Louis Rams, by a final score of 26-0. With a division title in the bag, San Francisco now turns to the task of readying themselves for the playoffs and securing a first round bye.

St. Louis was without its starting quarterback, Sam Bradford. Filling in was backup A.J. Feeley, who completed just 54 percent of his passes for 156 yards and one interception. The normally reliable Steven Jackson was limited to a mere 19 yards on just ten rushing attempts. The 49ers held the Rams to a total of 157 yards of offense.

San Francisco made big plays, including two touchdowns of 50+ yards. Frank Gore became the team's all-time leading rusher today, and finished the game with 73 yards. Michael Crabtree had four catches for 96 yards and a touchdown. Patrick Willis left the game with a hamstring injury, but the 49ers could afford to let him take it easy.

San Francisco travels to Arizona next week for a division game. They have yet to lose to an NFC West opponent this year. St. Louis and Seattle meet for a Monday night game next week.
