We all know what happens next. Bailey missed the second attempt and the score remained tied. The chance to win it in regulation was gone, all thanks to whatever was going through Garrett’s mind at that moment.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kyle Williams showed the world just how fast he is. Williams caught a short pass from quarterback Alex Smith, who beat a Rams blitz on the play. With the ball in hand, Williams turned up the field, hitting the afterburners for a stunning 48 yards after the catch and a 56-yard touchdown.
The 49ers have scored two touchdowns today, both coming on highlight plays of more than 50 yards. Williams’ touchdown gave them a 26-0 lead over the Rams.

On the first possession of the game, quarterback Eli Manning hit tight end Travis Beckum for a 67-yard touchdown. That made it 7-0 in favor of the Giants, but Green Bay would add a touchdown of their own a little later in the quarter.

NFL Scores Week 13: Panthers Vs. Buccaneers, Cam Newton Sets QB Rushing TD Record
Interestingly enough, Newton’s other statistics were not particularly eye popping. The No. 1 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft rushed for 54 yards and was 12 of 21 for 204 yards passing. But it was plenty in this game, as the Panthers defense did a good job of putting the offense in strong position. The Panthers scored on all five of their red-zone possessions.
