According to Troy Renck, who covers the Colorado Rockies like nobody's business, third baseman Ian Stewart has been traded to the Chicago Cubs. And not just Ian Stewart! The Cubs also got a 26-year-old pitcher who walked 9.5 batters per nine innings in Class AA last year!
Cubs And Rockies Trade Disappointing Players

Hey, maybe TheoJed can find a delivery in Casey Weathers' flaw.
Meanwhile, the Rockies get outfielder Tyler Colvin and infielder DJ LeMahieu.
Stewart’s presumably going to get a shot at winning the every-day job at third base with the Cubs, which would make for a nice comeback story, considering that last season Stewart was on the DL seventeen times and batted .037 with negative-six RBIs when he did play for the Rockies.
But we’ll bet the Cubs know that Stewart raked in the minors. And we’ll double-bet that he’s going to be 27 next season, and probably has at least one more good season in him.
