2011 Daytona 500: Everything You Need To Know About Speedweeks At Daytona International Speedway

NASCAR’s brief offseason officially ends today with the first practice of 2011, kicking off Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway.

Over the next 10 days leading up to the Daytona 500, NASCAR will have 17 practice sessions and six sanctioned races across its three national touring series.

We’ll be right here for all of it, providing continuous updates and news from the track. SB Nation’s Daytona 500 coverage will be spread out in several different streams, and this one will deal with the facts: Schedule, start times, stats, etc.

So to kick things off, here’s the full NASCAR schedule for Daytona Speedweeks (all times Eastern):

Friday, Feb. 11

  • 5 p.m. – Budweiser Shootout practice (45 min)
  • 6:30 p.m. – Budweiser Shootout final practice (1 hr)
  • 8 p.m. – Budweiser Shootout qualifying draw at Speed stage

Saturday, Feb. 12

  • 11 a.m. – Sprint Cup Series qualifying practice (2 hrs)
  • 2 p.m. – Sprint Cup Series qualifying practice (1 hr, 45 min)
  • 8:10 p.m. – Budweiser Shootout (75 laps, 187.5 miles)
Sunday, Feb. 13
  • 1:05 p.m. – Daytona 500 qualifying
Monday, Feb. 14 and Tuesday, Feb. 15
  • No track activity
Wednesday, Feb. 16
  • 9 a.m. – Nationwide Series practice (1 hr, 30 min)
  • 10:40 a.m. – Sprint Cup Series Gatorade Duels practice (1 hr, 20 min)
  • 12:10 p.m. – Nationwide Series practice (1 hr, 10 min)
  • 1:30 p.m. – Sprint Cup Series Gatorade Duels final practice (1 hr, 20 min)
  • 3 p.m. – Nationwide Series practice (1 hr, 30 min)
  • 4:40 p.m. – Camping World Truck Series practice (3 hrs, 20 min)
Thursday, Feb. 17
  • 9 a.m. – Nationwide Series practice (45 min)
  • 10:15 a.m. – Nationwide Series final practice (1 hr, 35 min)
  • 12:10 p.m. – Camping World Truck Series final practice (50 min)
  • 2 p.m. – Sprint Cup Series Gatorade Duel 150-mile qualifying races
  • 6:05 p.m. – Camping World Truck Series qualifying
Friday, Feb. 18
  • 11 a.m. – Sprint Cup Series practice (1 hr)
  • 12:30 p.m. – Sprint Cup Series practice (1 hr, 25 min)
  • 4:10 p.m. – Nationwide Series qualifying
  • 7:30 p.m. – Camping World Truck Series race (100 laps, 250 miles)
Saturday, Feb. 19
  • 10:30 a.m. – Sprint Cup Series final Daytona 500 practice (1 hr, 30 min)
  • 1:15 p.m. – Nationwide Series race (120 laps, 300 miles)
Sunday, Feb. 20
  • 1 p.m. – The 53rd running of the Daytona 500 (200 laps, 500 miles)
