Roberto Luongo and the Vancouver Canucks haven't messed up all that much this season. Last night in St. Louis against the Blues, things were a little different. With a tie score in the first period, Roberto Luongo came out of the net in front of the net to beat Alex Steen to the puck. He didn't.

The Blues never trailed after that as they went on to defeat the NHL’s best team by a final score of 3-2. It was Luongo’s first loss in regulation in 21 games, an incredible mark that had to come to an end at some point. St. Louis jumps within seven points of eight-place Calgary in the West, but there’s a bit of a traffic jam in front of them. Ah, the Western Conference.
The Canucks are still nice and comfortable at the top, though, and that's pretty incredible despite the injuries they've suffered on defense. Andrew Alberts left last night's game with a broken wrist, and as a result, the 'Nucks have called up their 12th defenseman of the season. His name is Yann Suave, which makes it all the more incredible.
