There were reports that Champ Bailey may not be coming back to the Denver Broncos. That he was selling his house in Denver and that he may be hitting the free agent market.
Champ Bailey, Denver Broncos Agree To Four-Year Contract
None of that will be happening. John Elway tweets Champ Bailey is staying in Denver.
We are thrilled to announce that the Broncos have agreed to terms on a new four-year contract with cornerback Champ Bailey.
Bailey will be 33 years old at the start of next season so it’ll be interesting to see how the contract is structured. He’s stil a good player but things like speed don’t get better with age.
SB Nation's Mile High Report points out that WR Brandon Lloyd was surprisingly optimistic about Bailey's returnTuesday morning.
Last week, things were looking bleak for a Bailey return, but as of this morning, Brandon Lloyd posted on twitter that he had heard some “good things” regarding Champ’s return to Denver. Apparently, Brandon Lloyd has good sources.
Those sources are accurate.
