The New Jersey Devils are doing their best to salvage a terrible start with a 15-1-2 run in their last 18 games. They are traveling to Dallas to face off against Jamie Langenbrunner who the team traded away on January 7th. The Dallas Stars have made a major move of their own, trading James Neal and Matt Niskanen for defenseman Alex Goligoski. Goligoski should be in the lineup for the Stars and starting.
New Jersey Devils Vs. Dallas Stars: Jamie Langenbrunner Faces His Old Team
Devils coach Jacques Lemaire was not entertained with the bad practice and morning skate the Devils have put forth in the last few days. He cancelled the morning skate after a few minutes and had a closed door meeting with the players. Here is what had to say about the players play:
“You’ve got to be blind not to see it. They couldn’t make a pass. They couldn’t do nothing,” Lemaire said after the skate at the American Airlines Center. “I might change some guys (in the lineup) because of what happened this morning.”
The Devils need to win practically every game from here on out to win and Lemaire needs to make sure that his players are in top shape for every game.
Game time is 8:30 pm Eastern and can be seen on Versus in the United States and TSN2 in Canada.
