No. 11 Georgetown In Trouble Against Cincinnati In Second Half

The No. 11 Georgetown Hoyas got off to a rough start Wednesday night against the Cincinnati Bearcats. Eventually they sorted themselves out to tie the game at 26-26 at halftime.

In the second half, however, they've fallen back behind as the Bearcats opened up a 17-6 run to extend their lead to 43-32 with nine minutes to play.

Austin Freeman has 15 of Georgetown's 32 points. Nate Lubick, Jason Clark, Julian Vaughn, Hollis Thompson and Chris Wright combined the rest.

Dion Dixon and Yancy Gates both have 13 for the Bearcats, who are trying to pull off the road upset and build a case for the NCAA Tournament.

The Hoyas clawed back in the first half despite making only eight field goals in 24 shots. Seven free throws, however, kept the Hoyas in the game. The Bearcats did not attempt a free throw in the first half. They have only one in the 2nd half.
