The New York Rangers travel to Detroit for the 574th meeting between these Original Six teams. The Red Wings are coming off back to back shutouts against the Columbus Blue Jackets and Nashville Predators. The Rangers are coming off a shutout of their own against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday.

Since Marian Gaborik was benched against the Philadelphia Flyers on February 16th, he has had nine points in the last eight games. Gaborik is third on the team in goals and second on the team in points. Brandon Dubinsky made his comeback from fractured left leg three games ago and has only one point in those games. Dubinsky is the team leader in points and second on the team in goals.
For the Red Wings, Jimmy Howard will look to rebound after losing the last game against the Blue Jackets and getting pulled in the 7-5 win against the Ottawa Senators. In his lone appearance against the New York Rangers last year, Howard made 28 saves in a 3-1 victory.
The Rangers have not won in Detroit since January 30, 1999 and have only won 76 out of 287 games in Detroit over the life of the series between the two teams. Game time is 7:30 pm and can be seen on Versus in the States and TSN2 in Canada.
