UFC Champ Frankie Edgar Splits With Manager Shari Spencer

First she lost her major client UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre. Now she’s lost her only other MMA client, UFC lightweight champion Fankie Edgar. When it rains, it pours.

↵As Bloody Elbow reported previously, behind the scenes the major speculation of GSP’s split with Spencer centered on disagreement over his branding as well as a rumored cut of 20 percent that Spencer was taking. It’s hard to know from a distance the exact reasons for Edgar’s split, but there was to be overlap between GSP’s disagreement.

↵

Spencer vows to move forward, potentially still in MMA. If she does, surely the clients won’t be UFC champs. Perhaps there are fighters in Bellator who are in need of representation.
