Chris Carpenter just walked off the field injured with the trainer. He is done for the day. Not good news for the Cardinals.

Carpenter made 35 starts a year ago, posting a 3.22 ERA, but it’s worth noting that he does have a long injury history, having undergone surgeries on his shoulder and elbow. The Cardinals don’t need this hanging over their heads, and everyone’s got their fingers crossed that nothing significant is wrong.
