The 2011 SEC Tournament tips off Thursday from the Georgia Dome, giving the conference where football is king a chance to remind the world a few good SEC teams can hit the hardwood, too. Among the teams in first round action today: Georgia, looking for wins to solidify a tournament profile that looks shaky upon close inspection; Tennessee, trying to reverse a late-season slide; and Vanderbilt, which wants to improve its NCAA Tournament standing with a big win or two.
SEC Tournament 2011 Bracket: TV Schedule, Matchups And More
Regular season champion Florida is among the four teams with first-round byes who will play in the quarterfinals on Friday. The most interesting possible quarterfinal matchup? The first two rounds of the tournament are broadcast by the SEC Network on whichever local affiliate carries it; the weekend semifinals and final will be broadcast by ABC.
