Jimmer Fredette is on fire in the MWC Tournament semifinals, torching New Mexico for 33 points in the first half. Fredette has been hitting from all over the court, connecting on 15 of 21 shots including 5-8 from beyond the arc. Despite his outburst, the Cougars hold a slim lead over the Lobos, 47-44. BYU lost to the Lobos just over a week ago following the suspension of Brandon Davies.

It's been all Jimmer, all the time for BYU as he's accounted for more than half the Cougars shots thus far. Noah Hartsock and Kyle Collinsworth have five points, with two other players adding two.
New Mexico has stayed in the game with a balanced scoring attack and some hot shooting of its own. In the first half, the Lobos shot 52.9 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from beyond the arc. A.J. Hardeman led the way with 10 points, Dairese Gary had nine and Phillip McDonald had eight points in the half.
