The NCAA 2011 bracket has been announced on the Selection Sunday show, and Pittsburgh has been awarded the No. 1 seed in the Southeast Region for the NCAA Tournament during the Selection Sunday show.
NCAA Bracket 2011 Preview, Southeast Region Teams: Pittsburgh Earns No. 1 Seed
The Panthers are coming off an early loss in the Big East tournament, as Pittsburgh fell to Connecticut on Thursday in a quarterfinal game, 76-74. UConn got its own March Madness started, going on to win the Big East tournament after a magical run, beating Louisville in the final on Saturday.
The No. 2 seed is Florida, despite the Gators not winning the SEC Tournament, while Jimmer Fredette and BYU earns the No. 3 seed. The bracket certainly sets up well for Pittsburgh to make a deep run.
