Kenny Boynton Injury: Florida Star Reportedly Suffers Sprained Left Ankle Vs. UCLA
After spending a few moments on the ground in obvious pain, Boynton gingerly walked off the court. He returned to play a couple of minutes later, but was soon relegated to the bench for good. The CBS broadcast crew reported that Boynton had suffered a sprained ankle. Minutes later, Florida won, 73-65, to reach the Sweet 16.
An ankle sprain, of course, can vary widely in severity. The fact that Boynton returned to the game, if only briefly, ought to encourage optimism amongst Florida fans.
Boynton, a sophomore, scored 12 points and recorded five assists on Saturday.During the 2010-11 season, he’s been the Gators’ second-leading scorer.
