The LA Galaxy have already played a game, but they close out MLS's First Kick with a Sunday night affair against the New England Revolution. The Galaxy were short three starters in their first game, lacking the services of forward Juan Pablo Angel, center back Omar Gonzalez and goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts. Angel and Gonzalez have been upgraded to "probable" for the game, while Ricketts is listed as "questionable."

Of the three, Ricketts was the most ably replaced, with Josh Saunders turning in a stellar performance against the Seattle Sounders. It seems unlikely that Bruce Arena would feel compelled to rush him back.
The Revolution are battling a few injuries of their own. Their biggest offseason acquisition, midfielder Ousmane Dabo is listed as "out" along with Kevin Alston, probably the team's best defender. Didier Domi, another prospective starter on defense, is also not making the trip to Los Angeles.
“We have guys coming in who we think will do a good job,” Revs coach Steve Nicol about to the team’s website. “Clearly those three guys would be expecting to play, but they’re not. They’re injured and we have to adjust to that.”
