The Portland Trail Blazers had no problems stripping the Washington Wizards and running circles around them en route to a 111-76 victory. The Wizards actually did most of the damage themselves, with 27 turnovers and by shooting 37 percent from the floor. The Blazers had solid leads in the second quarter -- 15 points midway through, 19 by the end -- but the Wizards conceded at halftime and let Portland savage them in the second half.
Wizards Vs. Blazers: Gerald Wallace, Portland Destroy Washington
Gerald Wallace led the assault with 28 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three assists. Nicolas Batum (22 points, 12 rebounds, three steals) and LaMarcus Aldridge (22 points, six rebounds) were also excellent. Brandon Roy got away with an 0-6 night -- imagine how the team would have been if Roy was on! -- and, frankly, Portland's guard play is still oddly underwhelming, despite the presence of four starting-level players. Otherwise, Aldridge at center is paying some level of dividends; it's hard to argue with results like this.
