UFC 132 Fight Card: Tito Ortiz Vs. Ryan Bader, B.J. Penn Vs. Jon Fitch 2 Scheduled

If you haven't noticed, the UFC continues to break news on their own website about upcoming fights they're making, fights that are verbally agreed to and other bouts that are slated to take place at upcoming future UFC events. This only helps our business model here, so I'm all in favor of the UFC doing this. That's neither here nor there, so let's get to the news about UFC 132.

A slew of match-ups have been announced for this card. Most importantly, former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz, fresh off of pulling out of UFC Fight Night 24, is set to take on Ryan Bader at UFC 132. To wit:

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz, who pulled out of his March 26th headlining bout against Rogerio Nogueria due to injury, has recovered and is back in fighting shape. "This MMA legend will meet top UFC contender Ryan Bader at UFC 132," said UFC president Dana White, confirming that Ortiz and Bader have verbally agreed to a July bout. Bader is looking to rebound from a loss to newly crowned champ Jon Jones at UFC 126.

I fully expect the fight to be close for a round, maybe two, before Ortiz loses again.

Also on that card? Matt Wiman vs. Dennis Siver has been verbally agreed upon by both parties as has B.J. Penn vs. Jon Fitch 2. Throw in Evan Dunham vs. George Sotiropoulos in the verbal agreement pool as well.

Here’s how the card looks to date:
