When Louis Saha jumped for a routine headed in the later stages of Everton's 2-1 home win over Fulham, it was difficult to imagine that it could result in the end of the striker's season. However, a slight bump to the back of the head and a bad landing later and suddenly Saha is looking at a serious ankle injury that could rule him out until the summer. In an interview with French magazine L'Equipe, the striker said:
Louis Saha Injury May End Everton Striker’s Season
I’m on crutches, I don’t feel good. I don’t know whether I will have this ankle problem for days, weeks or months. But it’s going to be difficult for me to play again before the end of the season. It’s tiresome to get all these injuries. They all come along just when I’m starting to get a run going. It is hard. It sucks. But I’m trying to think positive.
Saha’s ankle complaint is yet another blow to Everton’s attack, who’ve been routinely decimated by injury this season. Only Jermaine Beckford remains fit and ready to play up front for David Moyes’ club, who are currently in eighth place in the Premier League.
