Bradley Names Geno Ford New Basketball Head Coach

Geno Ford, who was named Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year the last two seasons at Kent State, will become the new head coach of Bradley basketball, replacing Jim Les. Ford spoke about the opportunity:

"I am ecstatic to work at such a great institution with such a rich basketball history," said Ford. "The passionate Bradley fan base, academic excellence and exceptional facilities will give us an opportunity to compete at the highest levels of the Missouri Valley Conference.

In three seasons at Kent State, Ford went 68-37, including 35-13 in the MAC. This past season he led KSU to its second consecutive Mid-American Conference regular-season title and an NIT berth. He has previous head coaching stints at NAIA Shawnee State (22-10 in 2001-02) and NCAA Division III Muskingum (29-22 from 2005-07).

Ford played for Ohio University and ended his career as the fifth-leading scorer in school history with 1,752 points.

Ford replaces Jim Les, who was fired after nine seasons at Bradley. The Braves finished 12-20 this season.
