Arsenal's notoriously fragile side should receive some major reinforcements this weekend as Arsene Wenger suddenly sees most of his players available to him once more. Cesc Fábregas, Theo Walcott, Alex Song, Abou Diaby, Robin van Persie, Nicklas Bendtner and Aaron Ramsey should all be available to play against Blackburn on Saturday, although according to Wenger the latter three are in some doubt after picking up knocks over the international break:
Arsenal Receive Injury Boost
I have not decided if they will start the game yet but [Fabregas, Walcott, Song and Diaby] will all be available.
Van Persie has a good chance, too. He has a final assessment tomorrow but we believe he will be fit. It is a bruised knee. Nicklas Bendtner is in the same situation. He will have a test tomorrow on his ankle and we’ll see. In fact, we have a few players with tests tomorrow – Ramsey with his groin, Bendtner, Van Persie. I will make a decision after training in the morning.
Arsenal still have several long-term absentees including their first and second choice goalkeepers as well as centre backs Thomas Vermaelen and Johan Djourou. Midfielder Denilson is a short-term absence, which considering his recent performances is quite possibly a boost to the team. Injuries have hurt the side immensely of late, with Arsenal hitting a rough patch that's seen the Gunners knocked out of three tournaments and struggling to close the gap on Manchester United in the Premier League.
