The Oklahoma City Thunder will be without Nate Robinson for the next 4-6 weeks as he undergoes surgery to fix knee pain, the team announced earlier Friday. Robinson first started to feel discomfort on Monday, the team said, and decided to be proactive about it.
Nate Robinson Injury To Keep Thunder Guard Out For 4-6 Weeks
That would put Robinson on a timetable where he would return just before the start of the NBA Playoffs. Robinson is unlikely to have a huge role with the team, but every player counts.
The odd thing is that this means the Thunder have acquired two players from the Boston Celtics who will miss action soon after being acquired. Kendrick Perkins is already out for 2-3 weeks with an MCL sprain, and now Robinson is out 4-6 weeks with his own knee pain. Is it possible the Celtics knew something about their health before trading them away?
