Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt is in trouble with the law after leading police on a chase through Bayonne, New Jersey. According to reports, police attempted to stop Britt around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, but he took off, speeding away from police before stopping a few miles later. Britt stopped suddenly and abandoned his car, walking away casually with the female who was with him at the time.

But Britt wasn’t done, and tried to run away once again as police questioned him at the scene. By the time it was all over, Britt was charged with three counts, including a drug charge. The report comes from TMZ and has been verified by Jay Glazer on Twitter.
Bayonne PD says after a few miles, Kenny just stopped and he and his passenger attempted to walk away from the car. During questioning, officers say the passenger tried to bolt on foot -- FAIL. Officers arrested him for alleged possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.
The NFL is currently in a lockout so it’s unclear what, if any, affect this has on Britt’s status with the Titans in the future.
